PIXAR’S “SOUL” WINS TWO GOLDEN GLOBES

During the recent Golden Globe awards, the Disney+ Original film “Soul” picked up two awards including “Best Animated Movie” and “Best Original Score”. Lyon Studios is proud to have helped with this award-winning feature film.

Pixar booked Lyon Studios to record actors Tina Fey and Jamie Foxx for the animated feature film “Soul.” Director Pete Docter and Producer Dana Murray were on hand to direct each performance with our engineer, Mitch Puchalski, and their digital engineer. They also videotaped the recording sessions to help the Pixar animators match the mouth movements.

Soul was an International hit grossing $121 million and won both Golden Globes and Oscars for Best Animated Feature and Best Original Score in 2021.

Jamie Foxx and Tina Fey were incredibly nice to our entire team and seemed to enjoy their studio time in Newport. NO DRAMA!

Tina Fey and Jamie Foxx were very friendly and entertained our entire staff with jokes and stories during their breaks.
